A little information has been found about Robert, although more is known
about his wife, as Robert died quite young, at the age of 39. What
does appear in the records shows that Robert was born on the 22 August 1797 in
Rushmere, and he was christened five days later on the 27 August 1797.
The next documented occurrence was his marriage to wife Jemina (possibly mis-spelt,
perhaps Jemima?), on the 19 December 1822. He was to spend a total
of 14 years with his wife, and produce at least two children, before he was lost
at sea on the 30 October 1836 aged 39.

No dates are available for the birth of Jemina, only the year of 1798.
The next piece of information relates to her marriage to Robert, on the 19
December 1822, at which time she would have been aged either 23 or 24.
After that, she appears in the 1851 and 1871 census records, and hopefully the
1861 although that census has yet to be researched. The details
relating to both census records in which she does appear are shown below.
Finally, an entry has been found for her death, although the certificate has yet
to be purchased. The entry shows the death as being registered in Q1
1878, which means that Jemina could have died towards the end of 1877, giving
her an age at death of either 79 or 80.
